Overkill is an American thrash metal band formed in 1980 in New Jersey. Known for their aggressive sound and relentless touring, they were part of the first wave of U.S. thrash alongside bands like Metallica and Slayer. Overkill’s debut album Feel the Fire (1985) and later releases like The Years of Decay (1989) solidified their status. Led by vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth, the band remains active with a loyal fan base.
