The Style Council was a British band formed in 1983 by Paul Weller after The Jam, alongside keyboardist Mick Talbot. Known for blending soul, jazz, pop, and new wave, the group released several albums, including Café Bleu and Our Favourite Shop. Their music often featured socially conscious lyrics. The Style Council disbanded in 1989, and they remain recognized for their sophisticated sound and stylistic diversity within 1980s British pop.
