Rush was a Canadian rock band formed in 1968, best known for its classic lineup of Geddy Lee (bass, vocals, keyboards), Alex Lifeson (guitar), and Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Known for complex compositions, virtuosic musicianship, and philosophical lyrics, Rush blended progressive rock, hard rock, and later, synthesizer-driven styles. Landmark albums include 2112, Moving Pictures, and Permanent Waves. The band retired in 2018 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
